3 Structural Mechanics and Materials Special Field
The development of new or compound materials, the analytical evaluation of thermal and dynamic properties of those materials, the researches on the kinetic behaviors of mechanical structures and the design of them for strengthening and vibration control, the development of applied technology of ultrasonics, the systematization of undulation analyses, the numerical testings and plasticity analyses of materials using finite element polycrystal models, and the development of the methods of strengthening and toughening of ceramics, fracture and strength of metals, ceramics, polymers and mechanicts and sensing for biological soft tissue structures.

2 Thermo-fluid Systems and Energy Engineering
Utilization of the groundwater stored artificially as heat sources for heavy snowfall districts, and the development of the wind turbine generating system, and the dynamic analyses and control of fluid power and fluid flow control systems, and the combustion mechanism, and the visualization of the flow pattern, and the measurements of thermal properties of new materials and assessment in both thermal and hydrogeological environment on local district.
